Thursday 18th July 2019 – Coppermine Creek

The night was dead calm and the water was glassed out and we slept well. After breakfast, Putu and I took the dingy out at high tide for some trolling and exploring. We caught a couple of trevally and then headed up stream to check the entire system.

At the far end of the system we came across a small crocodile sitting on a large rock sunning himself. Halfway back to Sirocco we ran into Dave in his tender who was taking beers out to his crew, so we rafted up and enjoyed a couple of cold frothies while we chatted and floated about.

We headed back to Sirocco and later got invited over to Fonster for some sashimi tuna that Dave had caught on the way across from Cygnet bay.

While chatting, a sea plane landed near by to pick up some passengers and then took off close by.

We all enjoyed an afternoon session up on Fonsters top deck and late in the afternoon everyone except for Dave and Garry came across to Sirocco to continue the party.

Just before dark, Dave and Garry came over and around 20:00 all our guests piled into their tender and disappeared off into the dark crocodile infested waters back to Fonster.
